We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Medical Office Assistant to join our team at Union County, NC. As a Medical Office Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing administrative support to our healthcare team, ensuring the smooth operation of our medical office.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to healthcare professionals, including scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and handling phone calls.
- Assist with clinical tasks, such as preparing patients for exams, taking vital signs, and performing basic laboratory tests.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including demographic information, medical history, and treatment plans.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and satisfaction.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; formal training in medical assisting or a related field preferred.
- One year of experience in a medical office setting, with a strong understanding of medical terminology and procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information with discretion.
- Fluency in English and Spanish a plus.
