Role Summary

In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care in our Medical/Surgical unit, focusing on enhancing patient comfort and outcomes. Utilizing a Relationship-Based Care approach, you will build meaningful connections with patients, allowing for personalized care tailored to their unique needs.


Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough physical, psychosocial, and emotional assessments, considering age-specific criteria.
  • Anticipate and address the needs of patients and their families, developing comprehensive care plans.
  • Implement nursing interventions based on assessments, ensuring timely documentation and collaboration with the healthcare team.
  • Monitor patient conditions, promptly identifying changes and involving patients in their care plans.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and adjust care plans as necessary.
  • Adhere to hospital policies and national nursing standards, integrating evidence-based practices into patient care.
  • Provide education and support to patients and families, ensuring understanding and compliance with care plans.
  • Facilitate patient orientation to the unit, encouraging active participation in their care.
  • Advocate for resources that enhance patient safety and support departmental initiatives.
  • Engage in peer evaluations, providing constructive feedback to colleagues.

Work Schedule

This position requires 12-hour shifts, with both day and night options available, including weekends. Flexibility for on-call duties is essential.
