Position Summary:

The primary responsibility of this role is to oversee and manage the inventory of all maintenance supplies, manuals, and documentation through a computerized maintenance management system. This position will also support the MRO Buyer in procuring spare parts for equipment, gathering information for parts replacement, and ordering necessary materials for the maintenance team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and sustain a spare parts inventory control system, ensuring proper cataloging by equipment, part, and location.
  • Utilize the computer system to retrieve part numbers, item locations, vendor identification numbers, and vendor contact details.
  • Distribute parts, supplies, and tools to mechanics, maintaining accountability for all items within the tool cage.
  • Monitor spare parts inventory levels, identifying and reporting any discrepancies to the relevant personnel.
  • Examine receipts and packing slips to confirm that new parts are received in full and stored in designated locations.
  • Maintain organized files of equipment manuals, parts lists, schematics, and related documents.
  • Review purchasing requisitions and coordinate activities related to acquiring goods and services, including onboarding new vendors and procuring MRO materials, equipment, tools, and supplies.
  • May authorize invoices for payment upon receipt of goods, contingent on proper signature approval on purchase orders.
  • Facilitate the pickup or delivery of emergency parts as required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED, with experience in mechanical operations and terminology necessary for disassembling and assembling various machine subassemblies.
  • Proficient in computer usage for data entry and inventory management.
  • Detail-oriented and organized to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Basic math and reading skills are essential.
