Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, develop, and implement programs for computer numerically controlled (CNC) machines and related fixturing.
  • Design and manufacture jigs and fixtures from sketches, requirement descriptions, or drawings.
  • Provide support, training, and problem resolution to operations personnel who use computer numerically controlled machines.
  • Liaise with engineering regarding component repairs, inspection, and induction of new repairs.
  • Monitor performance, conduct feasibility studies, and implement process improvements for computer numerically controlled machines.
  • Prepare technical specifications and cost-benefit analysis for procurement of capital equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable safety requirements and report any unsafe practices or conditions.
Requirements:
  • College diploma in manufacturing technology or a related discipline.
  • Thorough understanding of repair design and development engineering manufacturing process, tool design, and fabrication methods and processes.
  • Thorough knowledge of computer-aided design and manufacturing (CAD/CAM) systems.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office is a plus.
