Job Summary:
The Medical Assistant is a vital member of our healthcare team, providing support to licensed medical providers in various settings, including clinics and surgical areas. This role requires a high level of professionalism, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist medical providers with patient exams, treatments, and procedures
- Prepare patients for exams and treatments, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment
- Record patient medical history, medications, and vital signs
- Collect and prepare laboratory specimens for testing
- Explain treatment procedures and medications to patients
- Perform administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments and inventory management
Requirements:
- One year of experience in a medical setting, preferred
- Thorough knowledge of medical terminology and sterile technique
- Detail-oriented and professional attitude
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
