Job Summary:

Leidos is seeking a highly skilled Lead Network Engineer to join our team in Washington, DC and Reston, VA. As a key member of our elite team of IT professionals, you will play a critical role in maintaining and securing the enterprise environment for an Intelligence Community (IC) customer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a leader in local- and wide-area networking, providing technical expertise and guidance to colleagues.
  • Collaborate with project teams to provide technical direction, interpretation, and alternatives on existing and new services to meet architectural and operational needs.
  • Provide expertise in Information Systems Architecture, Telecommunications Systems Design, Architecture, Implementation, Information Systems Integration, and Communications and Network Systems Management.
  • Manage small teams of engineers and related technical staff, including cyber specialists and testers.
  • Stay up-to-date with cutting-edge technologies, integrations, and capabilities, and provide insight to colleagues.
  • Consult with engineers, team leads, and customer stakeholders on requirements and technical direction.
  • Provide deep expertise on BPG, OSPF, Tunnels (GRE, SudeoWire, VPN, L2TP), Spine and Leaf, and BGP Peering.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's of Science degree and 8+ years of prior relevant experience, or Master's with 6+ years of prior relevant experience.
  • Hold a DoD Approved 8570 Level IAT II (i.e., CCNP, CCIE) certification.
  • Must possess a TS/SCI clearance and be willing and eligible to obtain a Polygraph.
  • US Citizenship is required.
  • Deep knowledge of, and hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, F5, Aruba, Ruckus, Versa, NOM, NetScout, and/or related network components or network monitoring and management tools.
  • Knowledge of BPG, OSPF, Tunnels (GRE, SudeoWire, VPN, L2TP), Spine and Leaf, and BGP Peering.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience or exposure supporting Intelligence Community programs.
