Agronomic Program Manager Job Description

Ag Management Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Agronomic Program Manager to support our client, Minnesota Crop Production Retailers, in administering their 4R Nutrient Stewardship Certification Program. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of nutrient stewardship practices and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Program Administration: Assist in the administration of the 4R Nutrient Stewardship Certification Program, including identifying and recruiting agricultural coops and retailers to participate.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Interact with agricultural retailers, nutrient service providers, and other industry professionals to educate and encourage the implementation of 4R practices.
  • Audit Preparation and Support: Provide expertise and assistance to program participants to help with audit preparation and post-audit support.
  • Certified Crop Advisor Promotion: Assist with planning outreach strategies to retain and recruit individuals to become Certified Crop Advisors.
  • Ag Retail Survey Coordination: Provide high-level coordination and management of the team collecting data on farming practices from ag retailers and manage contracts with third-party organizations for data analysis and reporting.
  • Grant Management and Reporting: Prepare written summaries of program outreach and engagement activities and assist with submitting required reports.
Qualifications:
  • Education: A Bachelor's Degree in Agribusiness Management, Agronomy, Agriculture, Crop Science, Environmental Science, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience: Experience in agricultural program coordination or a similar role is required.
  • Skills: Strong understanding of nutrient stewardship practices, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and proficiency in preparing written reports and summaries.
