Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team at Feit Electric. As a Staff Accountant, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the month-end closing accounting process, ensuring timely and accurate completion of financial statements.
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and roll forwards to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
- Process journal entries and maintain the general ledger, ensuring accurate and up-to-date financial records.
- Understand and analyze accounting related to Balance Sheet accounts (Assets, Prepaids, Liabilities, Accruals) and Income Statement accounts (Revenue, COGS, OPEX).
- Complete bank reconciliation on a monthly basis, ensuring accurate and timely completion.
- Review cash receipts, disbursements, and bank activity to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Perform analysis of accrual accounts and prepare related journal entries to ensure accurate and timely completion.
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable with daily functions and operations, ensuring accurate and timely completion.
- Familiar with inventory fundamentals and valuation to support monthly close, ensuring accurate and timely completion.
- Support the maintenance and valuation of fixed assets and depreciation, ensuring accurate and timely completion.
- General support with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statement reporting, ensuring accurate and timely completion.
- Support Controller with annual financial audit, ensuring accurate and timely completion.
- Provide accounting/financial analysis/financial reporting assistance in other areas as needed to meet deadlines or to resolve special projects.
Requirements:
- General understanding of GAAP accounting principles.
- Knowledgeable with Microsoft products, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Able to research new subject matter and solve/propose solutions.
- Detail-oriented, maintain organized records, and be timely.
- Personable, demonstrate ability to work with and interact with employees.
