EL Teacher

We are a transformative education nonprofit dedicated to changing communities across the country by providing a depth of resources not found in the traditional education model.

We are seeking an exceptional EL Teacher to join our team at Phalen Leadership Academies. As an EL Teacher, you will be responsible for ensuring that all scholars master both the academic and social skills necessary to succeed.

• Develop and implement rigorous instruction to support scholar growth and achievement
• Track and use data to drive instruction and inform decision-making
• Build strong relationships with scholars, families, and colleagues to create a supportive learning environment
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement school-wide initiatives and programs
• Stay up-to-date with best practices in education and implement innovative strategies to enhance scholar learning

• Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university
• Valid State Teacher License or enrolled in a credentialing program
• Experience working with students and families in under-served communities
• Effective pedagogical skills driven by standards and data-driven assessment
• Experience tracking and using data to drive instruction
