Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Assisted Living Medication Technician to join our team at South Carolina Baptist Ministries of Aging. As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer medications to residents in accordance with physician orders, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, and feeding, promoting independence and dignity.
  • Monitor and report any changes in resident condition, including bruises, blood in urine, or other injuries/wounds.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment, adhering to infection control protocols and universal precautions.
  • Transport residents and equipment safely, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
  • Participate in resident care planning, collaborating with healthcare staff to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare staff, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA standards.
  • Report and record all accidents/incidents, ensuring a safe and secure environment for residents and staff.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; certification in medication management and caregiving preferred.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, prioritizing resident care and safety.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on empathy and compassion.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA standards.
  • Physical stamina to perform tasks requiring lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
