Primary Duties:

  • Prepare and execute outgoing shipments, which includes selecting, packing, and labeling products.
  • Confirm the accuracy of orders and shipments by cross-referencing items with shipping documentation.
  • Collaborate with various carriers to establish pickup and delivery timelines.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of all shipments, including tracking identifiers, shipping dates, and delivery confirmations.
  • Examine packages for any signs of damage and ensure items are securely packed to mitigate transit risks.
  • Utilize warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, and hand trucks effectively.
  • Support inventory management activities, including stock assessments and inventory restocking.
  • Engage in effective communication with colleagues, supervisors, and other departments to address any shipping-related concerns.
  • Adhere to all safety and operational protocols within the shipping department.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
  • Prior experience in a shipping or warehouse setting is advantageous.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational capabilities.
  • Ability to operate warehouse machinery (training will be provided if necessary).
  • Basic computer proficiency, including familiarity with shipping software and inventory management systems.
  • Capability to lift and transport packages weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
