Echocardiography Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Echocardiography Diagnostic Technologist to join our team at Thomas Jefferson University & Jefferson Health. As a key member of our diagnostic team, you will be responsible for performing complete echocardiographic examinations, including M-mode, two-dimension, and Doppler Echocardiography on clinical and/or research patients.
Responsibilities- Perform echocardiographic examinations, including M-mode, two-dimension, and Doppler Echocardiography
- Assist cardiologists, fellows, or other personnel in performing transesophageal echocardiographic and stress echocardiographic examinations
- Coordinate efficient patient flow, staff assignments, educational support, and highest quality procedures consistent with IAC standards for Echocardiography
- Registration by a national certification organization, such as American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI), is required
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification is required
- High school diploma and completion of a two-year echocardiography training program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or cardiovascular technology program accredited by the CAAHEP
- 1+ year's echocardiogram experience preferred
