Job Summary

Husson University is seeking a pool of qualified adjunct faculty members to teach part-time biology courses. The successful candidate will have a strong background in biology and experience in teaching at the college level.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach General Biology I and Cell Biology courses in a classroom setting
  • Develop and implement effective lesson plans and assessments
  • Hold regular office hours to support students
  • Collaborate with other faculty members to develop common syllabi and course materials
  • Use instructional technology to enhance teaching and learning
  • Assess and report student performance
Qualifications
  • Master's degree in biology or a related field (Ph.D. preferred)
  • Successful teaching experience at the college level (preferred)
  • Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Compensation

The rate of pay will be dependent on the number of students enrolled in the course assigned. The maximum hourly rate for undergraduate courses is $933.33 for Master's prepared instructors and $1,016.67 for doctoral or equivalent prepared instructors. The maximum hourly rate for graduate courses is $1,016.67 for Master's level prepared instructors and $1,100.00 for doctoral or equivalent prepared instructors. Lab sections for undergraduate courses have a maximum hourly rate of $1,150.00 for Master's prepared instructors and $1,250.00 for doctoral or equivalent prepared instructors.
