Job Overview

At Tarkett, we are seeking a skilled Installation Specialist to join our team. This role involves the installation of running tracks, requiring a strong understanding of surface preparation and polyurethane installation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare asphalt and concrete surfaces for polyurethane track material installation
  • Operate small hand tools and power equipment for surface preparation and polyurethane installation
  • Carry, mix, and pour polyurethane to install track surfaces according to OSHA safety standards
  • Recover excess rubber granules and trim edge details of track surfaces
  • Clean up and demobilize work sites

Requirements:

  • 2-3 years of relevant field experience
  • Quick study and ability to meet physical demands
  • Technical qualifications or membership to a professional order

Work Environment:

  • Occasionally: jumping, climbing
  • Frequently: sitting (when using paver), standing, walking, stooping/bending, pushing/pulling, squatting, crawling/kneeling, reaching above shoulder, forearm rotation climbing
  • Constantly: twisting/turning, repetitive hand/wrist

Critical Demands:

  • Material Handling: 34-66% of the time
  • Lifting to waist height up to 50lbs, carrying up to 50lbs

Hand Function:

  • Simple grasping, gross grasping, fine manipulation, use of machinery or tools (forklift, hand tools, drills/grinders, and specialized installation equipment)
