Join Butler America Aerospace, LLC. as an Airframe Design Engineer and contribute to the development of innovative aircraft designs. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for planning, optimizing, and executing complex aircraft structural design assignments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Incorporate new design and design improvements utilizing CATIA software with an emphasis on component integration, 3D modeling, and drafting.
  • Develop 3D models in support of detail, assembly, and installation layouts.
  • Communicate and coordinate with technical disciplines, such as Manufacturing, Tooling, Structural Integrity, Aerodynamics, and AES.
  • Peer drawing checking and the release of engineering documents, as well as day-to-day collaboration to meet company and customer requirements.
  • Support prototype aircraft assembly, which includes coordination with engineering to support design interpretation and occasionally investigate and respond to questions from Manufacturing Operations.
  • Conduct research, calculations, estimates, and drafting of projects to conform with established specifications such as capacities, styling, performance, and determine the status of work in progress.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Professional and diplomatic demeanor.
  • Strong sense of accountability and integrity.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Understanding of 2D & 3D design concepts.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and CATIA.
