Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out design analysis and create design dispositions for assembly manufacturing non-conformances
  • Assess different repair scenarios for fit, form, and function
  • Process detail and sub-assembly concessions from risk-sharing partners and Final Assembly Lines
  • Liaise with multiple functions/suppliers to ensure the most appropriate design solution is met
  • Customer-facing with the ability to explain and escalate critical issues
Requirements:
  • Minimum of a BS in Aerospace Engineering (Mechanical, Design, Structural, etc.)
  • Experience working on Boeing products and structures, either directly or within the supply chain, for a minimum of three years
  • Knowledge across 737/787 or similar aircraft variant programs, preferably with both metallic and composite capabilities
  • Understanding of material properties, production, and manufacturing methods and practices and their effect on aircraft performance
  • Working knowledge of CATIA V5 for interrogation and drawing/model modification
