The University of Oklahoma is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Laboratory Technician to join the Neurotoolbox Lab. This role will provide support to researchers in the lab, conducting experiments, and analyzing data.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct biological, chemical, and physical tests and support researchers in their projects.
  • Operate laboratory equipment, including microscopes, centrifuges, and pipetting machines.
  • Perform animal procedures, such as breeding, weaning, and surgeries.
  • Develop and implement controlled experiments and trials.
  • Record, compile, and analyze data using computer code.
  • Communicate results to supervisors in a professional manner.
Requirements:

Education: High School Diploma.

Preferred: Associate's Degree in a Biological or Physical Science.

Skills:
  • Knowledge of laboratory procedures.
  • Ability to handle chemicals and biohazardous materials.
  • Mathematical calculations in different units of measurement.
  • Microsoft Office Suite or other relevant programs.
  • Detail-oriented and excellent organizational skills.
  • Verbal and written communication skills.
Work Environment:

This position is located in a laboratory environment and may be exposed to biohazardous materials, blood-borne pathogens, or chemicals.
