Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the movement of trailers into and out of our dock doors, ensuring timely and accurate loading and unloading of products for various departments.
  • Manage the unloading of salvage products from retail stores, adhering to our company's standards for accuracy and productivity.
  • Operate trailers as directed by our Yard Management System (YMS) to various locations within the facility, ensuring compliance with our company's standards.
  • Maintain accurate temperature logs for all refrigerated trailers on the yard, ensuring compliance with our company's standards.
  • Conduct yard audits using handheld computers, ensuring accurate and efficient operations.

Requirements:

  • Some facilities may require a Class A Commercial Driver's License.
  • Some facilities may require you to be at least 21 years of age.
  • Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (D.O.T.) physical and drug screen at facilities where a CDL is required.
  • Some facilities may require a clean driving record with 3 years (or 300,000 miles) experience.
  • Ability to meet expected work standards, ensuring accurate and safe operations.
  • Ability to work a varied schedule to perform assigned duties.
  • Ability to work in a temperature-controlled environment (ranging from -5 to 90+ degrees Fahrenheit) for extended periods.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with distribution center operations and logistics.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent driving skills and ability to operate trailers safely.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to complete required record-keeping functions.
  • Ability to read and understand written and numeric product identifiers.
