We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer II to join our team at Freeport-McMoRan. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for providing technical support and guidance on design, construction, and operation of mining equipment foundations, structural steel, and building infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities- Review and analyze designs to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards
- Investigate and develop recommendations for assigned engineering projects
- Manage small-to-medium projects as Project Manager or Technical Advisor
- Evaluate and administer contracts with vendors for services
- Collaborate in site strategic planning and budgeting efforts
- Assist in the development and evaluation of Authorization for Expenditure (AFE) for capital funding
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field from an accredited curriculum
- Three years of experience in an applicable engineering field of expertise
- Knowledge of principles and practices of Civil, Geotechnical, Structural, or Hydrologic Engineering
- Knowledge of software such as MS Office, AutoCAD, and RISA 3D
- Certified Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or equivalent
- Ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences
- Estimated annual pay range: $87,000 - $120,000
- Eligibility for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations
- Employees required to work on-site eligible for $ monthly housing allowance
