About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Anti-Money Laundering Specialist to join our team as a 6-month consultant. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional with experience in financial services and a strong background in AML/BSA.

The successful candidate will work closely with our client, a large international bank, to identify and report suspicious activity, investigate documentation, prepare SARs, and perform 90-day reviews.

About the Client

Our client is a leading provider of corporate lending, international trade services, treasury business, U.S. dollar clearing, retail banking, correspondent banking, and other lines of business. With a presence in multiple jurisdictions, they offer a wide range of financial products and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor information and identify/report suspicious activity
  • Complete tasks in a timely manner
  • Review, investigate, and document narratives for escalated cases
  • Prepare SARs on an as-needed basis
  • Follow all SAR Team procedures
  • Perform reconciliation of cases and follow up every 90 days
  • Conduct 90-day reviews on transactions
  • Communicate findings and improvements during special investigations
  • Assist with training new associates when needed
  • Support projects focused on AML initiatives
Requirements
  • Immediately available for work
  • Hold a Bachelor's degree or higher
  • CAMS certification not required but preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in financial services
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
  • Strong experience with preparing SARs, AML/BSA responsibilities, transaction monitoring, and policies/procedures
  • Experience with high-volume SARs and focusing on high-risk jurisdictions
  • US dollar clearing experience
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and organizational skills
  • Authorized to work in the US and local to Midtown NYC
Compensation

The hourly market rate for this position is competitive and reflective of the client's commitment to offering a fair compensation package. The client is looking to bring someone on board as soon as possible.
