Job Summary

The Commercial & Private Bank Business Risk and Controls Officer – Anti-Money Laundering Risk will be responsible for designing, building, and implementing a risk management framework for the Commercial & Private Bank. This individual will work closely with stakeholders to identify, assess, and measure material risks and key controls, and provide expert advice on anti-money laundering compliance requirements.

Main Responsibilities

  • BUILD, LEAD, IMPLEMENT AND CONSISTENTLY EXECUTE AN AML RISK MANAGEMENT FRAMEWORK WITHIN THE 1ST LINE OF DEFENSE
  • LEAD THE OVERSIGHT OF AML RISK FRAMEWORK RESPONSIBILITIES PERFORMED BY BUSINESS PROCESS OWNERS IN ADHERENCE WITH BSA/AML/OFAC REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS
  • PROVIDE GUIDANCE ON PROCESS AND CONTROL DESIGN, EARLY RISK IDENTIFICATION, AND CONTROL ENVIRONMENT OPERATING EFFECTIVENESS
  • ENSURE AML COMPLIANCE RISK MANAGEMENT FRAMEWORKS AND CONTROLS ARE EFFECTIVE TO MANAGE RISKS ASSOCIATED WITH THE COMMERCIAL & PRIVATE BANKS STRATEGIC PLAN

Essential Requirements

  • EDUCATION: UNDERGRADUATE DEGREE (4 YEARS OR EQUIVALENT) IN FINANCE, ECONOMICS, BUSINESS, DATA & ANALYTICS OR SIMILAR
  • EXPERIENCE: 10+ YEARS OF AML COMPLIANCE / RISK AND INTERNAL CONTROL EXPERIENCE
  • LARGE BANK EXPERIENCE PREFERRED
  • PROVEN ABILITY TO LEAD AND EXECUTE IN CHANGE MANAGEMENT ENVIRONMENTS AND HAS BUILT PROGRAMS / FRAMEWORKS FROM THE GROUND UP

Estimated Salary: $175,000 - $230,000 per year
