This role is pivotal in managing designated segments of audit operations, serving as the Auditor-in-Charge (AIC) and implementing the audit framework for various Lines of Business (LOBs). The primary focus is on executing risk-based audits by establishing the scope and testing methodologies to assess the control environment in alignment with audit standards. Key duties involve evaluating issues for their impact on the business, recommending severity ratings, drafting comprehensive audit reports, and nurturing relationships with business partners. The role also emphasizes creating an inclusive workplace and guiding team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implements audit strategies for effective risk-based auditing by defining audit scopes and programs, while preparing audit reports utilizing automation and innovative techniques in a timely and quality-focused manner.
  • Serves as Auditor-in-Charge (AIC), overseeing audit evaluations to ensure they are conducted promptly and meet quality benchmarks, audit standards, and procedures.
  • Evaluates impacts on business processes, controls, and strategies to provide recommendations on severity ratings and escalate overarching themes or trends based on existing business insights.
  • Demonstrates intellectual curiosity and sound judgment to effectively influence and challenge management, enhancing the control environment and promoting continuous audit improvements.
  • Leads a team of associates, offering daily mentoring and guidance while fostering an inclusive work culture.
  • Maintains collaborative relationships with business partners, primarily with line management, to enhance business acumen.
  • Utilizes comprehensive knowledge of products, business operations, and technical expertise to effectively challenge management in improving the control environment.

Required Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of experience in Credit, Risk, and/or Auditing.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively to influence management and lead strategic and tactical changes.
  • Self-motivated with a desire to learn and teach others, exhibiting high energy and a positive attitude.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with the capability to interpret large datasets into actionable insights.
  • Ability to maintain attention to detail while also recognizing broader patterns and themes to identify risks and concerns.
  • Proficient in managing multiple tasks and adapting quickly to changing priorities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience in Data Analytics, data reporting, or data management.
  • Background in Enterprise Risk or Credit Risk.
  • Strong presentation abilities.
  • Prior audit experience.
