Mortgage Operations Coordinator

Under the general supervision of the Director of Mortgage Banking, this individual will perform a variety of clerical and administrative support tasks to aid in the efficient operations of the Mortgage Division. This role requires knowledge of organizational policies and procedures, as well as considerable attention to detail and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate and perform a range of support activities for the Mortgage Division in an accurate and timely manner.
- Interact with various employees across the bank's footprint to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
- Create, review, and distribute weekly reports using Excel to provide valuable insights and data analysis.
- Assist the Director of Mortgage Banking with recruiting efforts to identify and attract top talent.
- Help new employees transition to Central Bank of St. Louis by providing comprehensive onboarding and training.
- Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding the status of reports and correspondence in process, as well as other banking-related questions.
- Establish, implement, and maintain methods and procedures to ensure all assignments and duties are processed correctly and timely.
- Provide exemplary customer service in person and by telephone, maintaining a friendly, positive, and professional attitude.
- Operate a variety of office administration equipment, including PCs, copy machines, FAX machines, calculators, printers, etc.
- Maintain neat and orderly work areas and ensure that all confidential records are secured and/or disposed of properly.
- Attend and complete all required training to stay up-to-date on industry developments and best practices.
- Assist others in the department as needed and/or directed.
- May be assigned other duties and responsibilities, as well as work or training at other assigned locations.
- Previous experience in general office work in a mortgage company or as an Administrative Assistant.
- PC skills required, knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Familiarity with Encompass.
- Good judgment and organization skills, with the ability to prioritize and handle confidential information.
- Ability to deal effectively and courteously with a large number of associates and members of the general public.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English, with effective oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to interpret and follow a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form, and complete assignments without detailed directions.
- Ability to independently plan, prioritize, organize, and complete work in an efficient manner, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
- Willingness to assume additional responsibilities/duties/projects as they arise.
- Ability to maintain regular and punctual attendance.
