Job Title: Infection Control Nurse

Mass General Brigham is seeking a skilled Infection Control Nurse to join our team in Malden, Massachusetts.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Infection Control Nurse to provide high-quality patient care and contribute to our mission of delivering exceptional healthcare services.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct and indirect nursing care to patients in the Infectious Diseases Clinic, working collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to deliver evidence-based care.
  • Conduct telephone triage and outreach to patients, communicating effectively and empathetically to address their needs and concerns.
  • Administer medication and vaccines as needed, and perform technical skills such as PICC line management and dressing change.
  • Participate in departmental and organizational quality management and quality improvement projects, demonstrating proficiency in electronic medical records and other systems.
  • Collaborate with outpatient infusion pharmacies, visiting nurses, and other community partners to ensure safe administration of antibiotics and problem-solve issues with IV access.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an approved school of nursing with current registration as a registered nurse in Massachusetts.
  • Minimum of one year of recent clinical nursing experience in a primary care or public health sexually transmitted disease practice.
  • Minimum of one year of patient care coordination experience.
  • Minimum of one year of patient telephone triage experience in an ambulatory outpatient setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Team-based care experience.
  • Proficiency in EPIC electronic health records.
  • Ambulatory Infectious Disease, HIV/AIDS experience strongly preferred.
