Pulmonary Medicine Associates Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our team at Pulmonary Medicine Associates in Napa. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist healthcare providers with patient care and administrative tasks
  • Obtain vital signs, document patient information, and maintain accurate records
  • Perform spirometry tests, six-minute walk tests, and administer medications as directed by healthcare providers
  • Triages incoming documents, processes patient information, and ensures exam rooms are clean and stocked
  • Communicate with patients, families, and healthcare teams using secure patient portals and phone systems
  • Maintain medical equipment, supplies, and inventory
  • Participate in patient education, provide informational pamphlets, and assist with after-care instructions
Requirements:
  • High school graduation or equivalent
  • Two or more years of related work experience preferred
  • Credentialed Medical Assistant (RMA, CCMA, CMA) a plus
  • Current certification in CPR/BLS required
  • Strong computer skills and experience with EMRs
  • Strong attention to detail, knowledge of medical terminology, and excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, work independently, and juggle multiple priorities
