Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Explain complex IT concepts and software development tools to users, applying that knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Migrate physical servers to virtual environments using Hyper-V platforms, ensuring seamless transitions.
  • Configure, install, and manage NetBackup server tools to guarantee data protection and integrity.
  • Provision and de-provision user access to development tools and project resources, maintaining a secure and efficient environment.
  • Create CRQs (Change Request Queues) in Remedy ticketing system to document and track errors, issues, and failures.
  • Facilitate meetings with internal and client teams to discuss server and application upgrade requirements, ensuring alignment and cooperation.
  • Manage binaries for IDEs (Integrated Development Environments) and associated components used by developers, including RAD and RSA tools.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to IBM development tools and IBM Installation Manager, providing expert-level support.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve installation issues for development environments like RAD and RSA, ensuring smooth operations.
Requirements
  • Experience supporting servers, workstations, and related software applications, with a proven track record of success.
  • Ability to provide support outside of regular business hours (24/7 and after hours), demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
  • Experience migrating physical servers to virtual environments using Hyper-V platforms, with a strong understanding of virtualization technologies.
  • Proven ability to configure, install, and manage NetBackup server tools, ensuring data protection and integrity.
  • Experience with user provisioning and de-provisioning for software development tools, maintaining a secure and efficient environment.
