Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Veterinary Technician to join our team at Hardaway Veterinary Hospital. As a Veterinary Technician, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our veterinarians in delivering exceptional medical services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide compassionate care to patients, including administering medications, taking vital signs, and performing physical examinations.
  • Assist veterinarians in medical, surgical, and dental procedures, including preparing patients for surgery and administering anesthesia.
  • Perform laboratory tests, such as urinalysis and blood work, and maintain accurate records of test results.
  • Take and develop radiographs, and assist with other diagnostic procedures as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment, including preparing exam rooms and treatment areas.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, veterinarians, and other staff members to ensure seamless patient care.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in veterinary technology or a related field preferred.
  • Current certification as a veterinary technician or veterinary technologist (CVT or RVT) or willingness to obtain certification within a specified timeframe.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for long periods, with frequent bending and stooping.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
