POSITION SUMMARY:

As an Aerospace Guidance and Navigation Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, development, and testing of aircraft capabilities tailored for various public and private sector clients. This role demands a proactive approach to creating navigation solutions that align with our aircraft specifications. You will operate within the software and sensors division, reporting directly to the department director.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the design and development of Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) systems, ensuring integration and testing are executed efficiently.
  • Develop cutting-edge flight navigation and guidance algorithms, alongside integrated guidance and navigation systems.
  • Conduct mission planning and analysis, perform system performance evaluations, and implement simulation solutions to meet client needs.
  • Engage in comprehensive trade studies for guidance, navigation, and state estimation components, assessing various technologies such as lidars, GPS receivers, and optical sensors.
  • Document designs, analyses, and test outcomes, creating materials for presentations and stakeholder reviews.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate and validate all aircraft navigation components.
  • Utilize embedded software for real-time GNC algorithm development tailored for Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS).

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree or higher in a relevant field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years in software development.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Linux, C++/CMake, Python, and VSCode for C++.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience in the development and implementation of software, sensors, and data within UAS.
  • Preferred Attributes: Strong leadership capabilities and a self-motivated learner.
  • Language Proficiency: Fluent in English.
  • Other Requirements: High energy and enthusiasm for the role.
