Job Summary:

The Senior Dentist will work independently and make decisions based on analysis of data and knowledge of dental practice. The position requires the ability to maintain skills and complete ongoing training to maintain an active license in accordance with the dental practice act.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide professional dental services, including examination, diagnosis, treatment planning, and care of conditions within the human oral cavity and its adjacent tissues and structures.
  • Perform diagnostic, preventive, restorative, endodontic, periodontic, prosthodontic, and surgical procedures within the scope of the dental practice act.
  • Develop treatment plans and maintain treatment records in accordance with the dental practice act.
  • Work includes promotion and establishment of population-based dental preventive and educational programs and related dental public health activities.
  • Collaborate with the Dental Clinic Manager and the Community Program Manager to promote community and school-based preventive educational programs.
Requirements:
  • Licensure as a Dentist in accordance with Chapter 466, Florida Statutes.
  • Knowledge of the terminology, principles, and techniques of dentistry.
  • Ability to perform dental examinations and diagnose dental problems.
  • Ability to train others.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
