Key Responsibilities:

Our ideal candidate will lead complex engineering projects, utilizing design for additive manufacturing (DfAM) and laser powder bed fusion (LPBF) best practices. They will be responsible for identifying and troubleshooting mechanical issues with minimal supervision.

We are seeking a seasoned 3D design engineer with extensive experience in additive manufacturing to join our team at Applied Materials. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop, design, or modify detailed drawings/specifications of complex additively manufactured parts.

This role requires a strong background in mechanical engineering, with expertise in designing and developing custom mechanical tooling, fixturing, and processes. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, being able to interface effectively with customers regarding complex mechanical issues.

In this position, you will have the opportunity to implement concepts for complex product issues and solutions. You will also establish standards across operational processes, serving as a technical expert on specialized projects or programs.

The 3D design engineer will generate product specifications, define, coordinate, perform, and generate engineering test reports. They will specify and review engineering documentation, performing engineering analysis of complex scope with limited supervision.

Compensation:$147,000 - $202,500 per year, based on location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity considerations.
