As an integral part of our Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) multidisciplinary team, you will play a pivotal role in providing exceptional care to individuals with severe and persistent mental illness. Your responsibilities will include:
- Collaborating with our psychiatrist to manage and administer medication effectively.
- Conducting thorough psychiatric assessments to ensure comprehensive understanding of client needs.
- Maintaining open communication with community physicians to facilitate referrals and coordinate care.
- Delivering a range of treatments, including psychosocial rehabilitation, to support client recovery.
- Providing valuable support services to our ACT Team, fostering a collaborative and respectful work environment.
This dynamic position offers a unique blend of variety, community interaction, and fast-paced teamwork, with caseloads carefully designed to optimize client care. You will report directly to our Nursing Services Manager and spend some time working in a community-based setting.
To excel in this role, you will require:
- A Master's, B.A., or associate degree in nursing; licensed nurse assistants (LNAs) will be considered.
- A valid New Hampshire registered nurse license is essential.
- Prior experience in an inpatient or outpatient psychiatric setting is preferred, but not mandatory.
- A strong commitment to upholding the rights and dignity of each individual with severe and persistent mental illness.
- The ability to establish trusting relationships with clients, respecting their personal preferences and autonomy in treatment.
- An aptitude for collaborative teamwork, with a focus on mutual respect and open communication.
- A valid driver's license within the state where our team operates.
