About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team at the Brown Cancer Center in Louisville, KY.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will provide expert care to patients undergoing bone marrow transplants, working closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive and compassionate care. As an advanced practice provider, you will be responsible for assessing patient needs, developing treatment plans, and collaborating with physicians to ensure seamless care transitions.

Responsibilities:
  • Patient Assessment and Care: Conduct thorough physical and psychosocial assessments of patients undergoing bone marrow transplants, identifying potential complications and developing individualized care plans.
  • Clinical Decision-Making: Work collaboratively with physicians to develop and implement treatment plans, ensuring timely and effective interventions to promote optimal patient outcomes.
  • Educational Role: Educate patients, families, and healthcare professionals about oncologic care, promoting health literacy and empowering individuals to take control of their health.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Foster strong relationships with interdisciplinary teams, including nursing, pharmacy, and other medical specialties, to ensure seamless care coordination.
Requirements:

To be considered for this exciting opportunity, applicants must possess:

  • A Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) or a Doctoral degree in Medicine (M.D.) with current licensure in the state of Kentucky as an APRN or PA.
  • National certification as an Adult Nurse Practitioner, Emergency Nurse Practitioner, Family Nurse Practitioner, or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA).
  • Current DEA certificate without restriction, ACLS/BLS certifications, and CPR certification.
Compensation and Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, retirement plan, paid time off, and continuing education opportunities.
