Position Overview

This role involves a variety of clinical responsibilities within a dental practice, including performing teeth cleanings and assessing oral health conditions, particularly in the head and neck areas for indications of oral diseases. Additionally, this position may involve educating patients on effective oral hygiene practices, taking and processing x-rays, and applying preventive treatments such as fluoride and sealants. A strong emphasis on customer service and effective communication is essential in all aspects of this role.

Our organization prioritizes the safety and well-being of both patients and staff. We are fully equipped with the necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhere to CDC guidelines to ensure compliance with COVID-19 safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities

Core Duties Include:

  • Providing periodontal therapies and hygiene-related services to enhance the oral health of patients, demonstrating enthusiasm and a commitment to delivering top-tier care.
  • Administering oral hygiene treatments and educational services under minimal supervision, in accordance with state regulations.
  • Conducting patient screenings, compiling medical histories, and maintaining dental records.
  • Applying fluoride treatments and protective sealants, as well as removing calculus, stains, and plaque from above and below the gum line.
  • Offering nutritional guidance and self-care strategies to prevent oral diseases.
  • Performing additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications

Essential Skills:

  • Possession of an active hygiene license for the relevant state is mandatory.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
