The Role

As a Manager in our Commercial practice, you'll oversee multiple engagements for clients ranging from multi-national corporations to early-stage startups. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Engaging in business development activities, such as preparing proposals and presenting in webinars;
  • Maintaining communication with clients to ensure satisfaction, meet deadlines, and remain current on legislative changes;
  • Conducting primary and secondary review of complex tax returns, including federal and state filings;
  • Providing ASC 740 tax provision support and review preparation;
  • Supervising, training, mentoring, and evaluating interns, associates, and senior associates;
  • Receiving formal corporate tax training, on-the-job training, direct feedback from top tax leaders, and opportunities to pursue additional training through internal and external resources.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer competitive base compensation, a benefits package, and a discretionary employee bonus program for eligible employees based on individual and firm performance metrics. For individuals hired to work in Seattle, the expected salary range for this role is $109,500 to $171,200, with the actual salary offer varying based on employee qualifications.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • 4+ years of relevant work experience in an accounting firm, with at least 3 years of Corporate Tax experience;
  • A Bachelor's and/or advanced degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field;
  • An advanced credential allowing for client representation before the Internal Revenue Service, such as a CPA or JD;
  • A self-starter with the initiative to seek out opportunities and the ability to work successfully in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment;
  • Proficient use of technology.
