Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide direct patient care, conducting assessments, evaluations, and therapy sessions to optimize patient outcomes as a working clinical director.
  2. Develop, implement, and modify therapy plans for patients, collaborating with other healthcare professionals and remaining in contact with referring providers and nurses.
  3. Attend care conferences, regular meetings, and rounds, ensuring appropriate medical equipment is arranged and care plans are established prior to discharge.
  4. Document patient encounter findings and treatments, including diagnoses, treatment plans, recommendations, and prognoses, in accordance with hospital policies.
  5. Direct support staff, students, or interns, developing and conducting patient education and therapy programs.
Administrative Functions
  1. Oversight of day-to-day department operations and clinical activities.
  2. Annual operating budget management for the department.
  3. Staff selection, training, and development, as well as other personnel activities.
  4. Budget monitoring and utilization of operational resources, participating in program development.
  5. Ensuring services comply with professional standards, state, and federal regulations.
Requirements
  1. Masters' degree (required) or doctorate degree (preferred) in Physical Therapy from an APTA-approved program.
  2. Licensed as a Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, and/or Speech-Language Pathologist.
  3. Current Basic Life Support Certification and valid, unrestricted driver's license.
  4. Two or more years of administrative experience in a healthcare and/or insurance environment, with at least two years of professional work experience.
