Senior Cardiac Technician

As a Senior Non-Invasive Cardiac Technician at Memorial Hermann Health System, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care while contributing to the success of our team.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare patients for Electrocardiogram, Holter monitor, and/or Stress Test exams, ensuring technical quality and patient safety.
- Manage multi-patient task lists, prioritize tasks, and maintain appropriate patient flow to ensure delivery of quality services within the department.
- Assist with schedules, participate in committees, and handle situations requiring expertise, leadership, and problem-solving.
- Perform supervisory/lead-related duties as directed, including reporting accidents, complaints, or equipment malfunctions to the supervisor/manager.
- Respond to Code Blue calls as part of the resuscitation team per facility requirements.
- Prepare and present ECG tracings to physicians for interpretation as per hospital process.
- Review ECG tracing and alert proper medical personnel of patients with serious arrhythmias.
- Demonstrate excellent customer service skills and escalate issues as a designated resource and mentor to staff and less experienced technologists.
- Introduce and demonstrate new techniques to other technologists, responsible for orientation/mentoring for new hires or education for students.
- Maintain safety, environmental, and infection control procedures for the department.
- Participate in performance improvement activities established by the department.
- Education: Associates Degree in Allied Health Sciences or the equivalent combination of training and experience as a Cardiology Technician.
- Licenses/Certifications: Certified by the American Hospital Association in BCLS.
- Experience: Four (4) years of experience performing Electrocardiograms (ECG), Holter monitoring, Holter scanning, and related Cardiac Stress Testing procedures.
