We are seeking a Full-Time Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant to become a vital part of our team, where you can truly make a difference in patient care.

Work Environment:
Skilled Nursing Facility - Focused on both Short-Term and Long-Term Rehabilitation, with a Monday to Friday schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

The Physical Therapy Assistant plays a crucial role in delivering direct care to residents under the guidance of the Physical Therapist.

  • Administer physical therapy interventions as outlined in treatment plans established by the Physical Therapist.
  • Support the Physical Therapist during assessments, evaluations, and advanced treatment procedures.
  • Monitor, document, and communicate patient conditions, reactions, and responses related to assigned tasks.
  • Maintain accurate daily treatment records and progress notes as directed by the supervising therapist.
  • Assist with the initial screening of new admissions.
  • Collaborate with the therapist in discussions with family members, physicians, and other healthcare professionals as necessary.
  • Contribute to the upkeep of the physical therapy department and its equipment.
  • Assist the Physical Therapist in conducting in-service training and other meetings as required.
  • Pursue continuing education opportunities relevant to your role to ensure clinical proficiency.

Qualifications:
  • Completion of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
  • Current licensure or eligibility for licensure in accordance with state regulations.
  • Preferred experience in a similar care setting catering to the same demographic.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including clear handwriting.
  • Ability to comprehend and execute the directives of the Physical Therapist and adhere to facility policies and procedures.
