The Production Supervisor - Injection Molding is responsible for overseeing the daily activities within the assigned area of the production departments at Yanfeng Automotive. This role ensures the timely production of high-quality products while managing the supervision of departmental personnel.
Key Responsibilities:- Production Planning and Scheduling: Plan, organize, and direct the manufacturing operation to meet production schedules and ensure the obtainment of quality products.
- Personnel Management: Schedule personnel in cooperation with the Production Manager, including vacation, temporary workers, and overtime work.
- Quality Control: Provide production expectations and quality feedback to team members in daily start-up meetings.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor daily established production requirements throughout the shift to ensure customer requirements and plant objectives are met while adhering to HSE and 5S policies and standards.
- Employee Development: Train and monitor employee performance to ensure operators are certified and operator training matrices are updated and meeting departmental targets.
- Reporting and Analysis: Compile KPI data and populate end-of-shift reports, distributing them to managers and relevant operations and support personnel.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with the UAW contract, team member handbook, safety guidelines, and all rules, programs, and procedures that pertain to production team members.
- Process Improvement: Monitor the quality of products throughout the production process and participate in Team Leader meetings and Quality initiatives.
- Continuous Improvement: Daily review of processes and people to identify and implement CI opportunities.
- Education: High School Graduate or Equivalent.
- Experience: 3-5 Minimum Years of Experience with Production and 1-3 Minimum Years of Experience within the automotive industry.
- Skills: Computer literacy, proficient organizational skills, and excellent oral communication skills.
- Travel Requirements: Must be able and willing to travel and work at customer sites, including industrial manufacturing plants which might require climbing, lifting, or working in confined spaces.
