Job Overview

A Landscaper at TROLLCO INC plays a crucial role in maintaining the aesthetic appeal and functionality of our outdoor spaces. You will contribute significantly to the overall appearance and functionality of outdoor settings, whether residential, commercial, or public.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Maintain lawns by mowing, edging, mulching, aerating, weeding, grubbing, removing thatch, or trimming around flower beds, walks, or walls.
  • Care for established lawns using hand tools, such as shovels, rakes, pruning saws, saws, hedge or brush trimmers, or axes.
  • Prune or trim trees, shrubs, or hedges using shears, pruners, or chain saws.
  • Cut down tree limbs posing a danger.
  • Trim shrubs and pull weeds.
  • Rake, mulch, and prune grounds as needed.
  • Water plants and grass as needed, applying fertilizer, herbicides, or insecticides onto grass, shrubs, or trees using hand or automatic sprayers or spreaders.
  • Plan and follow landscaping designs to determine where to lay sod, sow grass, or plant flowers or foliage.
  • Plant seeds, bulbs, foliage, flowering plants, grass, ground covers, trees, or shrubs and apply mulch for protection using gardening tools.
  • Decorate areas with stones, flowers, or plants.
  • Apply pesticide to rid grounds of pests such as mosquitoes, wasps, ticks, and others.
  • Gather and remove litter and debris.
  • Perform routine maintenance duties such as fixing fountains and other tasks.
  • Install rock, cement, lighting, water, and furniture.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is desirable.
  • Certification in landscaping or horticulture may be advantageous.
  • At least one year's experience as a landscaper, gardener, or similar work is desired.
  • Experience with power tools commonly used in landscape/garden work, including mowers, edgers, power tools, and snow blowers.

Compensation:

$22-$28 per hour, weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
