### Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Mass General Brigham. As a key member of our facilities engineering team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient operation of our campus infrastructure.

### Key Responsibilities

* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize campus infrastructure and troubleshoot technical issues
* Analyze data to inform long-term planning decisions and identify opportunities for improvement
* Develop and review MEP/FP scopes, budget estimates, and provide technical direction as needed
* Operate with a high level of autonomy and serve as an engineering generalist, utilizing internal and external resources as needed
* Manage consulting engineers and coordinate with internal staff to resolve complex problems and negotiate with vendors

### Additional Responsibilities

* Assist with escalated day-to-day troubleshooting of MEP/FP equipment
* Gather and maintain policy documentation required for hospital accreditation
* Initiate and implement sustainable practices and equipment to reduce utility usage

### Essential Functions

* Analyze short- and long-term capital needs of HVAC, controls, plumbing, electrical, and other systems
* Work with the Space Planner and Capital Construction team to make recommendations to reduce deferred maintenance
* Provide in-house engineering and facilities operations expertise to assist in the selection of new systems and equipment
* Review all renovation projects with MEP/FP content to ensure compliance with McLean's and MGB's standards of care

### Requirements

* Professional Engineer License (PE) required within 6 months of hire
* Valid Driver's License within the State of Massachusetts required within 120 days of hire
* Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
* Minimum 5 years' experience in HVAC, plumbing, and/or fire protection, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting
* Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
