The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, with experience in design, development, and commercialization of medical devices. You will work closely with our cross-functional team to ensure the successful launch of our products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop electrical circuits, including motors, sensors, batteries, microcontrollers, RF, analog, and digital components
  • Design and develop test fixtures
  • Use Altium Design Software for schematic and layout design
  • Support integration activities with other teams, including firmware, software, systems, mechanical, operations, and quality
  • Analyze and simulate circuit behavior
  • Use Python or MATLAB to analyze data
  • Manage design tradeoffs on performance, risk, manufacturability, and cost
  • Manage vendor relationships
  • Lead technical reviews
  • Lead activities related to IEC 60601 testing
  • Write and perform engineering studies
  • Write architecture documents
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent
  • 5+ years of design and development experience in electrical engineering
  • Experience with design for PCB manufacturability, assembly, and testability
  • Proficiency in using lab tools, such as oscilloscopes and data loggers
  • Experience with UART, USB, I2C, and SPI
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Proven track record of effective teamwork within a cross-functional team
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized
  • Experience with motors, sensors, batteries, microcontrollers, RF, analog, and digital components
  • Experience with PCB and schematic design software (Altium Designer preferred)
  • Experience with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE)
  • Experience with high-volume PCB design and manufacturing
  • Experience with Microchip and Silicon Labs microcontrollers
  • Experience with medical electrical safety standards (IEC 60601)
  • Experience with FMEA and hazard analysis
  • Experience with fail-safe designs
  • Experience with disposables
  • Experience with wearable/portable devices
  • Experience in a fast-paced work environment
