Join Our Team of Early Childhood Educators:

The Schoolhouse Learning Center is in search of dedicated classroom and flexible educators for our nature-inspired and play-oriented preschool program. Ideal candidates should have a passion for outdoor activities in various weather conditions, enjoy hiking, exploring, and imparting knowledge about the natural environment, while also embracing a curriculum centered on social justice. This role is perfect for high school graduates seeking a meaningful gap year, recent college graduates pursuing a career in education with a focus on nature, play, and social equity, or anyone interested in the field of teaching. Collaborate with a team of experienced educators in a progressive institution with a strong history of success.

This opportunity can be structured as either part-time or full-time.

Qualifications:
  • Previous experience with young children is preferred, but we are willing to train the right individual.
  • A degree in education or a related field in science/nature is preferred. A high school diploma is mandatory.
  • Teachers are required to complete 15 hours of professional development training in early childhood education annually and obtain First Aid/CPR certification.
