Food Production Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Food Production Specialist to join our team at Ed Miniat LLC, working on the 3rd shift.
About the Role
This position is responsible for ensuring the proper execution of cook and chill methods in accordance with product specifications and USDA regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare cook or chill tanks by filling and setting temperatures as per established protocols.
- Ensure dollies are prepared for the cook process, adhering to quality control measures.
- Maintain optimal tank water levels, temperatures, and equipment performance throughout the cook/chill processes, making adjustments as necessary.
- Accurately record product and cook information on designated forms or enter into our computer system.
- Select appropriate recipe programs in our computer system to ensure seamless production.
- Pull racks of product and transfer them to the next phase of the process efficiently.
- Conduct hand probe temperature readings on cooked product to guarantee quality standards.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment by adhering to employee and food safety procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Operate jeep/walker for the movement of product within the facility.
- Comply with and adhere to all employee safety and food safety programs implemented by Ed Miniat LLC.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management to support the smooth operation of our production lines.
Requirements
- Able to communicate effectively in English; bilingual Spanish skills are desired.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant experience a plus.
- Basic computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications essential.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately.
- Willingsness to work overtime and weekends as needed.
- One to three years of related experience preferred; knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and USDA regulations an asset.
Physical Demands
- Able to lift over 50 pounds daily; may require pushing/pulling between 1000-1500 lbs with assistance.
- Able to tolerate extreme temperatures daily; frequent ladder climbing up to 4 feet off ground.
- Standing or walking 100% of the workday; bending/stooping required daily.
Compensation Package
We offer a competitive salary range of $45,000 - $60,000 per annum, commensurate with experience. Additionally, benefits include medical, vision, dental coverage, and 10 PTO days in the first year of employment.
