Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Living Legends Health. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and implementing respiratory care plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess patients with pulmonary diseases, disorders, or complications and develop individualized care plans
  • Collaborate with medical staff and interdisciplinary teams to identify and overcome barriers to implementation
  • Conduct diagnostic and function tests to assess lung capacity and capability
  • Treat patients with aerosol medications and chest physiotherapy
  • Evaluate progress of treatment and make adjustments as needed
  • Administer inhalants and operate mechanical ventilators
  • Document care by updating charts and records
  • Train patients on self-administration of treatments and use of equipment
  • Recommend equipment and treatment for outpatient or home health
  • Protect patients and staff through stringent protocols
Requirements
  • Respiratory Therapist licensed in NYS
  • Experience in long-term care facility preferred
  • Vent/Trach experience required
  • Ability to interpret patient information and make critical decisions
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Physical endurance for frequent activity
