Job Title: AI Design Manager, Communications Lead

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and operationalize the design team to handle incoming requests ranging from design consultation to full design ownership.
  • Manage a small team of designers while fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Lead employees through forecasting, planning, and replanning processes to address changing needs within a large engineering organization.
  • Owning the end-to-end creative process, establishing briefing structure and documentation of processes from concept to completion, and be accountable for the quality of all outgoing work.
  • Owning key stakeholder relationships to influence all levels within the organization on design vision and gain support.
  • Establish cross-functional relationships to keep track of upcoming milestones to balance the workload throughout the year.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 7-10 years of experience leading design projects and managing people or teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 7 years of experience working in a complex, cross-functional organization.
  • Experience innovating and creating new design proposals based on user and business needs.
  • Foster a culture of design excellence by inspiring and empowering the team to experiment and push boundaries.
  • Experience in presentation design, branding, photography, video, and user experience.
  • Understanding of machine learning concepts and technologies.
  • The ability to approach problem-solving with tenacity and flexibility.

Pay & Benefits:

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $185,800 and $279,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.

You'll also receive benefits including comprehensive medical and dental coverage, retirement benefits, a range of discounted products and free services, and for formal education related to advancing your career at Apple, reimbursement for certain educational expenses — including tuition.
