Engineering Manager - Product Development

We are seeking an experienced engineering manager to join our founding team at Traba, a technology company revolutionizing the staffing industry. As the first manager on the Engineering team, you will lead the development of our products and platform, working closely with our CTO to drive technical vision and execution.

About the Role
  • Lead a high-performing team of engineers, hiring, mentoring, and retaining top talent
  • Architect and lead the development of our applications, APIs, and distributed systems
  • Own architecture decisions for our tech platform, advising key product and infrastructure decisions
  • Be hands-on, building alongside the team 15-20% of the time, and lending expertise through your experience and understanding of the codebase
  • Own analytics, monitoring, and logging infrastructure to improve user experience and application health
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive a best-in-class service and product experience
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience managing high-performing software engineering teams
  • 7+ years of proven software engineering experience building scalable, robust production solutions
  • Track record of shipping amazing products and leading projects at scale with high velocity
  • Experience with distributed systems, API design, Node.js, PostgreSQL, Redis, RabbitMQ, GCP, or equivalents
  • Excellent communication skills and analytical ability to drive impactful decisions
  • Experience working in an early-stage engineering team, navigating ambiguity in a fast-paced environment
