Job Title: School Social Worker

The Meriden Public School District is seeking a qualified School Social Worker to join our team at the Venture Academy.

Job Summary:

The School Social Worker will provide supportive services to students and families, promoting social-emotional learning and well-being.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual and group counseling services to students
  • Collaborate with teachers and staff to develop and implement social-emotional learning programs
  • Conduct home visits and provide family support services
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community agencies and resources

Qualifications:

A valid Connecticut certification for School Social Worker (endorsement #071) is required. A school social worker with clinical counseling experience with emotionally and behaviorally disordered adolescents is preferred.
