- Investigate and verify client information, consulting with supervisory personnel as needed.
- Conduct follow-up evaluations to ensure clients are receiving the necessary support.
- Advise applicants of approval or denial of benefits, providing explanations of appeal processes and client responsibilities.
- Stay up-to-date on relevant policies and procedures, including federal, state, and local laws.
- Economic Services Caseworker I: High school diploma or GED equivalency with a minimum of three years of experience in a clerical position with public contact required. One year of eligibility experience as an Income Maintenance Case Worker preferred.
- Economic Services Caseworker II: High school diploma or GED equivalency with a minimum of one year of eligibility experience as an Income Maintenance Case Worker required.
- NC Fast Core Certification and Level I Core Trainings obtained within 90 days of hire.
- Strong computer skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Competitive salary range: $28.28/hr - $31.18/hr.
