Job Title: Psychiatric Registered Nurse

MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a skilled Psychiatric Registered Nurse for a travel assignment with one of our top healthcare clients.

As a Psychiatric Registered Nurse, you will provide care for patients with mental health issues, assessing, diagnosing, and treating people with psychiatric problems. You will work as part of a team to provide total medical care for the patient.

  • Assess the mental health status of patients with behavioral challenges.
  • Collaborate with medical providers and mental health staff in the design and delivery of patient care.
  • Administer and monitor effectiveness and side-effects of psychotropic medications.
  • Assist patients, and families as appropriate, to interpret and manage maladaptive behaviors and to plan healthy lifestyle changes.
  • Exercise balanced judgement in evaluation situations and making decisions to handle difficult or confrontational situations in a professional manner.
