Job Title: Psychiatric Registered Nurse

We are seeking a skilled Psychiatric Registered Nurse to join our team of healthcare professionals. As a Psychiatric Registered Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Job Summary:

The Psychiatric Registered Nurse will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with mental health issues. You will work closely with medical providers and mental health staff to design and deliver patient care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess the mental health status of patients with behavioral challenges.
  • Collaborate with medical providers and mental health staff to design and deliver patient care plans.
  • Administer and monitor the effectiveness and side effects of psychotropic medications.
  • Assist patients and families in interpreting and managing maladaptive behaviors and planning healthy lifestyle changes.
  • Exercise balanced judgment in evaluation situations and make decisions to handle difficult or confrontational situations in a professional manner.
Requirements:
  • Active RN License
  • Degree from an accredited nursing program
  • BLS Certifications
  • Eighteen months of recent experience in an Acute Care Psychiatric setting
